This is a closed wiki. This means that only registered and confirmed users can edit the content. If you are part of the Landhanse, you can apply for an account here. Please read this short guide beforehand so that we can work together productively and keep the wiki clear and organized.
Registration
This wiki is part of the Landhanse Wiki family. This means that with your account, you can access all existing and future wikis in the family. All user groups are shared between these wikis, but these groups have their own rights in each wiki. A description of the currently existing wikis can be found here: Wiki family.
Since some of the various wikis contain IT information and IT texts, it makes sense for your username to correspond to your IT name. This allows your name to be linked in texts without having to change the link. You can also enter your OT name during registration so that you can be more easily recognized. You can provide further information about yourself later on your public user page.
You can apply for an account here: Request a user account. An admin will then create an account for you and assign it to the appropriate user group.
Important information
This wiki is publicly accessible. However, there is a private namespace 'P' by default. When creating or editing pages, it is important that you only store pages containing confidential or sensitive information within this namespace. Pages in the namespace are named according to the scheme P:Name_of_the_page. All images added to the wiki are also publicly accessible. In general, it is better to store sensitive information and graphics in the cloud. Attention! This wiki is also versioned. This means that if you delete data and pages from the wiki, they are not completely destroyed and can be restored. If data needs to be completely deleted urgently, please contact an admin.
First steps
A wiki is a tool for managing and sharing knowledge. It consists of various pages that are linked to each other. In order for other users to find this knowledge, each page must be findable via links from other pages. If you follow a link to a non-existent page, you can create that page. The wiki can therefore be filled with knowledge very easily, page by page.
The best way to get started is to find an existing page and edit it. Feel free to use the following page for experimenting: test page. Otherwise, be brave and try things out! If you make a mistake, it's easy to restore the last version of a page.
A very detailed guide for working with MediaWiki can be found here:

This guide is still under development. If you have any suggestions for improvement or requests, please contact an admin.
